ByoSoil 100 was applied in April at a farm in upstate New York. Christmas trees, pumpkins, and a corn maze are integral parts of this large operation. Although it was reported that this was a “good year” for pumpkins—we did have ripe pumpkins in the treated areas on August 5 (earliest ever) and most of the pumpkin stalks in the treated area were weeks ahead of the green pumpkins in the untreated areas of the pumpkin patch.

Additionally, the farm sprayed ByoSoil 100 on sections of the corn maze. We saw increased corn growth and additional yields as a result of this treatment. Average stalk circumference increased from 3.5 to 5.25 inches and stalk heights were approximately 1 foot higher on treated corn. Additionally, corn treated with ByoSoil 100 was healthier with a larger root mass and most stalks had additional ears growing on the stalk—resulting in better yields.

We anticipate treating the entire farm in 2011 and seeking to further improve pumpkin and corn health through the use of ByoSoil 100.
